The last time Chelsea went four home league matches without a win back in 2011, we followed it up with an 8-0 win over Aston Villa. At half-time here today, after four straight draws at home in the Premier League, we're almost halfway to another one.
Goals from Costa, Pedro, and Willian have Chelsea firmly in the driver's seat. While Newcastle did eventually settle down, it's been all Chelsea, with Hazard & Co running the show with some sparkling football. Exactly what the doctor ordered ahead of a crucial week with games against PSG and Manchester City in the FA Cup coming up. Confidence! Belief! Goals!
Concerns at this point would include getting complacent and picking up needless injuries, such as the one apparently suffered by John Terry — who is Matt Miazga and is he ready to play yet? — or the continued kicking of Eden Hazard and others.
So, 45 minutes to salt this away and not pick up any more injuries. UP THE CHELS!
