"And if it gets taken away for some reason, we'll get to celebrate anew fairly soon, I'm sure." That's what I wrote on September 22, after Hazard was initially awarded a goal against Arsenal. It was a heavily deflected effort and unsuprisingly, the Dubious Goals Panel later took that goal away from him. What is far more surprising that it's taken another 130+ days for Hazard to find the back of the net again. That's certainly not how I meant "fairly soon".
It might have been only (another) penalty kick, but it clearly meant a lot, and not just because Hazard isn't our number one penalty-taker anymore. Oscar had already completed his hat-trick by that time, and so he gave Hazard the easy chance to get off the schneid.
So Hazard to Real Madrid today?
Last and certainly not least, as can be seen in the video at the top, Hazard thanks the traveling fans for their fantastic support and for providing a brilliant atmosphere.
"When you feel they (the fans) are there and they can do everything for you, you want to give everything on the ptich for them."
So say we all.
