On Monday, Chelsea could bring the biggest Christmas cheer to SW6 by beating AFC Bournemouth and thus setting a new club record for consecutive matches won with twelve. The eleven in a row is already a single-season record but twelve consecutive would better even the eleven won in a row spanning the end of the 2008-09 and the beginning of the 2009-10 seasons.
To do so, Chelsea will have make do without Diego Costa and N'Golo Kante however, two of the most crucial pieces of teh 3-4-3 puzzle that has completely turned the club's fortunes around. So the big obvious all-important question is, who will start instead of the two players suspended for yellow card accumulation.
The answer up front may be obvious, especially with dwindling options available thanks to Dominic Solanke's involvement in last night's Premier League International Cup loss to Swansea City U23 and Oscar's confirmed departure to Shanghai SIPG. The answer in the middle may be less obvious, but perhaps even more crucial to Chelsea's chances of winning.
Choose wisely.
