Marco Verratti’s agent has been working hard to stir up some stories around his client’s near- and long-term future in recent months, even going as far as confirming a couple offers from Italy (widely agreed to be Juventus and Inter) and suggesting that young Marco is looking for a new challenge, namely to win trophies in a non-one-team league like Ligue 1 has been over recent seasons (come to the Premier League, son!).
Wanting a new challenge is always a rather vague reason to push for a move, though it’s also inherently understandable, even when saddled with a long-term contract like the one that Verratti has with PSG until 2021, which was signed back in the summer.
That said, it would make much more sense for Verratti to stay put (exactly because of said new contract) and in his most recent interview, he would appear to agree.
“I’m fine here and I see no reason to leave.”
“All my agent said is that everyone finds it difficult to finish their career with one team, but there’s a difference between difficult and impossible. I live every day to try and win as much as possible, and I’ve always said that right now my dream is to win here.”

Cross Verratti off the list then. For now.
