Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea, Premier League: Post-match reaction

WINNER WINNER ELEVEN IN A ROW DINNER

Third 1-0 win in a row.  Stuff of champions, right?

They all count the same.

  • Costa's league-leading 13th goal of the season, one more than he got all last season and his 50th in his Chelsea career.  First headed goal all season for Chelsea, too.  Azpilicueta with the nice big cross for the assist.
  • Costa did get his fifth yellow finally and will miss Bournemouth on Boxing Day.  Big chance for Batshuayi. Kante also got his fifth and will also miss out.  Big chance for Chalobah?  (Or Fab-Matic?)
  • Fàbregas first off the bench just past the hour, to add a bit more control to the midfield as Palace had been pressuring since the start of the second half.  Almost immediate impact and helped Chelsea settle down.  On another day, he collects an assist and a brace, but no final luck today.  Silly free kick given away at the end aside, a perfect impact sub appearance, just as you'd draw it up on the tactics board.
  • Ivanović second off the bench as the home crowd applauds former Palace player Victor Moses off the pitch.  Nice gesture.  Ivanović settling in nicely into this defensive sub role.
  • Another win, another clean sheet, another three points added to the tally.  Nine points clear for now, could be back to six depending on what Arsenal and Liverpool do later this weekend.
  • Eleven wins in a row, matching a club record.
  • Carefree. KTBFFH.
