Diego Laxalt is a 23-year-old Uruguayan international who currently plays left midfield/wing-back at Genoa of the Serie A. He joined the club permanently just this past summer, after spending the previous season on loan there from Internazionale, but apparently he may already be looking to move. That's according to his agent, who certainly doesn't seem to mind stoking the potential flames of the rumor mill.
"Genoa believe in him, but they are always open to selling their players for the right offer. He's not going to leave in January, but the club will definitely listen to offers at the end of the season."
"There are many clubs that have been scouting him. Fiorentina have been watching him for a very long time, they also wanted to sign him last summer, but there are also requests from the Premier League. Conte had been scouting Laxalt when he was in Italy and he'd love to take Laxalt to Chelsea now."

The Mirror touts Laxalt as a potential Oscar replacement, but it sounds like he might be much more of an Alonso backup or second option on the left flank. None of the stories I've seen have put a price tag on Laxalt just yet, but unfortunately, in either case, having to wait until the summer kind of puts a kink in any such plans.
