Antonio Conte knows Chelsea need to and can still improve

Chelsea could've been fueled by a thousand cases of Carabao and they probably still couldn't have produced a better display than what we saw on this glorious Saturday night at Stamford Bridge.  Bonfire Night fireworks boomed above the stands at the start before making way for an even more impressive display down on the brightly lit green of the pitch.  Five goals to the good and yet another clean sheet.

It's getting a bit boring, isn't it?

LOL. No. That'd be a silly thing to say.

And if you're Antonio Conte, it's in fact just an excuse for further improvement, to focus on our work and not the other top teams.

"My players have adapted very quickly to this system but the principles are the same. We changed something defensively and offensively. I'm very happy because when the players produce this type of performance it's important for my work. I'm sure we can improve and we need to."

That's not to say that the Chelsea boss didn't appreciate his team's efforts.  He praised almost every player individually, and saluted their fantastic play.  And it was fantastic, and he himself said so when asked to comment in Italian on the performance: "Fantastica!"

"You have to show that you can win with the idea of playing good football. It's important to put these players in the best situation to exploit their talent."

"I'm very pleased because today there was a fantastic atmosphere with our supporters. We must continue to work together with the players, the club, the supporters and then to improve step by step. We can improve. We can improve."

Question about title ambitions are now commonplace (if way too early), but if we continue to stay calm, continue to work, and continue winning together, who knows what can happen.  And that togetherness of course includes the supporters, who were in full voice once again.

"I have to be honest, I didn't recognise that our supporters were singing my name. But Paolo Bertelli told me: 'They are singing for you!' It's good. It's important for me but for the players and for Chelsea because we need their support."
