Chelsea’s scintillating form in October (four wins from four in the league, coupled with the one loss in the EFL Cup) certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by the football world at large. Yesterday, no less than three players and the head coach himself were nominated for various monthly awards by the Premier League.

Tough competition for the Chelsea boss, as both Klopp and Wenger had an eye-catching month in charge of Liverpool and Arsenal, respectively.

The competition is even tougher for Costa, Kanté, and Hazard as they have compete against each other as well as the other four nominees for Player of the Month, Philippe Coutinho, Joe Allen, Tom Heaton, and Ilkay Gundogan. With three players to split the Chelsea vote, this could go to just about any of the seven nominees.
Costa has also been nominated for the Goal of the Month with his effort against Southampton, but given the quality of the other nominees in this bracket, I’m not sure the Chelsea man has much chance of winning.

Twisting my arm, I’ll say Payet. But it’s close.
Be sure to cast your votes to help the Chelsea boys collect (or not collect) some individual awards.
