N'Golo Kanté kept out of full training by France national football team

In what is being billed as a precautionary measure, Didier Deschamp and the people responsible for these sorts of things for the French national team have decided to keep N'Golo Kanté out of full training so far this week.  The Chelsea midfielder joins young Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane on the sidelines.  Varane's battling a thigh injury, but there's no word on whether there's anything specifically wrong with Kanté.

L'Equipe (via Sport Witness) claim that the move in Kanté's case is simply due to the "heavy workload" he's under at Chelsea, which is a bit of an odd claim considering that he's only featured in our Premier League matches, sitting out both midweek League Cup ties.  If once a week is a heavy workload for him, how would we ever use him if we do make it back to the Champions League in the foreseeable future?

In their short online report, L'Equipe do say that Kanté is expected to be back in full training today (Wednesday), so perhaps it was nothing more than just a rest day.  France play Bulgaria on Friday and the Netherlands on Monday in World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
