A report from ESPN late Friday claimed that Branislav Ivanović and Cesc Fàbregas are both set to miss out on Chelsea's match against defending Premier League champions Leicester City on Saturday. While there was a good chance that neither player would've started — Fàbregas has been a second-stringer since the start of the season while Ivanović was on the bench the previous matchday as well despite Conte switching to three center backs — not having Fàbregas available as an impact substitute could be a concern.
According to ESPN's source (an unnamed "club source"), Fàbregas has been "unable to train since Wednesday" due to "a minor injury" of an unspecified nature. There was no mention of this during Conte's pre-match press conference nor has there been any news of it on any of Chelsea's official channels.
ESPN also reports that Branislav Ivanović sat out Friday's training and is "highly unlikely to be fit" for the match after returning from international duty with a knock. Meanwhile, Mikel John Obi supposedly still has a "minor muscular problem" despite featuring for Nigeria last weekend.
But there could be good news on Victor Moses, who had sat out the international break with a hamstring injury but could be ready to go again after working with the medical team at Cobham.
