MK Dons vs. Chelsea, FA Cup: Half-time report

Clive Mason/Getty Images

Chelsea are completely and utterly dominating MK Dons in this FA Cup fourth round affair. Chance after chance have fell the Blues way with many of them going begging. In what should already be a laughable rout, Chelsea find themselves with just a two-goal advantage at the break.

The Dons's one goal came by way of a lucky deflection which canceled out an early tap-in from Oscar. It was the only time Thibaut Courtois's goal was really threatened during the half, while most of the play happened in the Chelsea attacking third. Eden Hazard had a golden chance to break his goal scoring drought, but his unfortunate luck continued as his shot hit the goalkeeper then the post.

Finally Oscar scored his second of the match after wasting several great chances to get the Blues back in front. He'd later add a third to complete his hat-trick just before the half-time whistle blew. The lead should be way more than it is, but who's going to complain about a two-goal lead? Chelsea need to come out early in the second half and finish off the Championship side. 3-1 at the half.
