Gary Cahill's apparent unhappiness at Chelsea has already set a few wheels in motion, most notably down in Italy at AS Roma. Ashley Cole's former team — the Chelsea legend's move to LA Galaxy has been confirmed, by the way — are apparently looking for defensive reinforcements to get their season back on track. Who better to turn to than England's vice-captain?

Wages could be a stumbling block, Gazzetta's report claims, even with the incoming money from China for Gervinho's services. I also don't see how moving out of the country would help Cahill's apparent concern that he could lose his England starting job. Surely, he could find a more "in-sight" option in England's top flight.
Not that it matters as, according to The Guardian, Chelsea aren't foolish enough to let Cahill go so close to the end of the transfer window, even with Polish-American beanpole Matt Miazga apparently ready to sign today. Some reports claim that contrary to popular belief, he will not be sent out on loan (he does not need a work permit thanks to his USA-Poland dual citizenship).
Stay tuned.
