Hiddink hoping for good news as Costa heads to hospital

Diego Costa may not have managed to replicate his goalscoring exploits from his first season as a Chelsea player this season (yet), but he's also managed to not replicate most of the injury issues he had back then.  Those injuries played a big part in preventing Costa from establishing any sort of rhythm in the second half of last season, and the goals accordingly dried up as well.  Since Mourinho's sacking however, Costa has been back on the goalscoring trail, his somewhat fortunate tally today giving him five goals in his last five games.

Unfortunately, he also appeared to pick up some sort of injury and had to be replaced 10 minutes from time by Loïc Rémy.  Just our luck.

Hiddink did not specify anything beyond that and we probably won't know either until Costa's released.  Hopefully any scans that are needed on what looked like an impact injury will come back negative.

While Rémy looks to be back and recovered, Costa's injury would not be good news ahead of next weekend's trip to Arsenal.  (And it could also cause Chelsea to do something rash like sign Alexandre Pato as another option.)
