The Blues are looking to make it three wins in a row on Wednesday afternoon, and were in great shape about fifteen minutes before the halftime break due to the work of Diego Costa, Branislav Ivanovic, and Cesar Azpilicueta. Some fantastic holdup play from Costa allowed Willian to pick out Ivanovic on the wing, and the right backs's cross made it all the way to Azpilicueta, who was left with a simple tap-in for the opener.
Unfortunately, the Chelsea we've come to know this season showed up at the half hour mark, and a terrible turnover by Pedro deep in the Blues' half of the pitch was quickly blasted into the back of the Chelsea goal, knotting the score at 1-1.
The good news is that Chelsea have looked pretty good going forward thus far, though they allowed a few scary moments when West Brom were on the counter. Based on what we've seen in the first 45 minutes, it doesn't seem too likely that this one finishes 1-1, and with any luck, the Blues will be the ones to find a second early in the second half.
