Spurs did everyone a favor in today's early kickoff by spanking Manchester City 4-1 (four!). We'll have a new leader in the league in fact, weirdly enough, it will be Manchester United. But more importantly, Chelsea have a chance to move within just 6 points of the top, which would be pretty amazing, considering that we were 11 points off just two weeks.
We know whom to thank, too:
Since I've been in Manchester, MCFC has earned 3 of 9 pts in CL + PL + down to Spurs after previously earning 12 of 12. #wearingoutmywelcome— Jake Cohen (@JakeFCohen) September 26, 2015
Just don't mess it up by not winning against one of the worst sides currently in the Premier League.
UP THE BLUES!
Newcastle United starting lineup (4-4-2):
Tim Krul | Kevin Mbabu, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Chancel Mbemba, Daryl Janmaat | Georginio Wijnaldum, Jack Colback, Vurnon Anita, Moussa Sissoko | Aleksandar Mitrović, Ayoze Pérez
Substitutes from: Rob Elliot, Mike Williamson, Jamaal Lascelles, Gabriel Obertan, Florian Thauvin, Siem de Jong, Ivan Toney
Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Asmir Begović | César Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, Kurt Zouma, Branislav Ivanović (c) | Nemanja Matić, Cesc Fàbregas | Eden Hazard, Oscar, Pedro | Loïc Rémy
Substitutes from: Jamal Blackman, John Terry, John Obi Mikel, Ramires, Willian, Kenedy, Radamel Falcao
Chelsea, as expected, start with Cahill & Zouma at the back and Rémy up top. It's Eden Hazard's 150th start; maybe he'll score his 50th Chelsea goal again.
Let's do this.
