Walsall vs. Chelsea, League Cup: Half-time report

Chelsea lead 2-1.

So far so good.  Falcao could've had a hat-trick in the first half alone, but so far it's only Ramires and Remy who have managed to rattle the net.  Kenedy (who's been lively and exciting and very good) grabbed the assist on the first, Ramires got the assist on the second.  Meanwhile, Zinedine Obi Pirlo's having fun.

Two-one at the break, plenty of chances to add more.  The hosts grabbed a lucky goal just on the stroke of half-time.

Walsall's game plan is pretty clear: attack behind Chelsea's advanced full backs.  Neither Ivanovic nor Baba have excelled defensively. Lee Mason has not had the best of games so far either, with several questionable decisions and at least one strange yellow card (to Mikel).

Let's add a few more and get a few more youngsters on.

COME ON CHELSEA.

(Milan Lalkovic having a good game, just as I had always known he's capable of.  Go and get 'em Milan!)
