We had seen renders by fans and other enthusiasts of quality architecture, but at the 3-day exhibition that's set to start today (Sep 1-3, West Stand), Chelsea will unveil the first official scale model of the New Stamford Bridge. And in what's possibly the nicest thing the Daily Mail has ever published, they have several lovely pictures of the gorgeous model.
New pictures of Chelsea's proposed new stadium. Far too 'Emirates' for my liking. http://t.co/87nMhzUNgQ pic.twitter.com/aWUxARnLmR

So yeah, give them a click and enjoy. Far too Emirates? Not at all. The architects weren't lying when they said it would be distinctive and imposing.

This second consultation is aimed at local residents, season ticket holders, and fans. As we had learned from the scoping report, if everything goes well, work will begin in May with improvements related to the railway lines. Work on the site and buildings themselves should begin in the summer of 2017, with Chelsea expected to temporarily relocate to Wembley for the three season it'll take to knock down and rebuild the stadium.
