Second straight man of the match award won by a debutant. A small silver lining, I suppose, in the gathering darkness.
The two 19-year-olds, Kenedy and Loftus-Cheek provided a couple much-needed bright spots with their directness and enthusiasm, two qualities that were sorely missing in most of the rest of the Blue shirts out there. Unfortunately, Kenedy is not really a left back, which did contribute to Palace finding their unlikely winner, but provided that Mourinho doesn't overcomplicate things, we should be seeing him out there a bit more, doing fun things like this elastico:

At least this man takes some shots. He's come on as a substitute in every match so far this season (much to the detriment of Loïc Rémy), but at least Falcao isn't shy about shooting. In 53 minutes he's taken 7. Diego Costa has taken 8 in 348 and Willian (yes, Willian) has taken 8 in 285 to lead the team. Hazard has 4, which is just a ridiculous amount, and not in a good way.
Here's Falcao's first goal for Chelsea. Hopefully not the last.

3. THIBAUT COURTOIS - GK | 6.5 |

Courtois has been featuring rather regularly on the player ratings podium so far this season, which is never a good sign as far as Chelsea's results are concerned. Goalkeepers tend to place this high only when other parts of the team aren't working.
But hey, only the second most goals conceded in the league!
