Mourinho's egg analogies are back, and one of them speaks, even!

It's been a terrible season so far, but we're just getting all the bad results out of the way early and are about to go on a 6000-match winning streak any moment now.  Actually, we're just three points off last year's pace based on the points gained from the corresponding fixtures last season, if we're looking for some any signs of hope and positivity.

Also signs of hope:  the youngs.  Well, some of them, the ones who aren't in far away lands doing their thing on loan.  They won't be much help this season.  But the ones who are here, they just might be.

"This is about the young players working and coming in and using the opportunities they have to improve and show their qualities,."

"I have beautiful young eggs in Kenedy, in Ruben and in Zouma. If you look at the game all of these young eggs did well. Zouma - great personality, great game. Kenedy changed the game and gave a different intensity and a different quality. Ruben was fine too."

"I'm not saying they are ready and they can be consistent and play every game. I am saying these young guys have good talent. Zouma with the experience of the last season has reached a fantastic level for a 20-year-old. Kenedy and Ruben, these kinds of boys, are players with very good talent."

The player ratings agree with the manager at least in this regard.  And it's nice to hear a positive verdict on Young Egg Loftus-Cheek's substitute appearance as well, after all those harsher words from Mourinho recently.  With added game-time, both he and Young Egg Kenedy could hope to make a similar leap forward like Young Egg Zouma did last year.  Granted, not many can leap like BIG Young Egg Kurt can.

This season, Young Egg Zouma has become a frequent interview target as well.

"Sometimes we concede goals and sometimes we don't, but we know we have not been good defensively and we have to improve that. I'm a defender so I'm very disappointed and very sad for that. We have to speak to each other and be really concentrated in games and in training as well. We have a strong team and we have to show that on the pitch."

"We have a little break of two weeks and we have to recover very well and then come back stronger. We can only think about winning the next game and starting to get clean sheets. I hope we will be back stronger in two weeks."

Chelsea, as a unit, haven't clicked yet, but Young Egg Zouma has acquitted himself quite well on an individual level.  His speed and athleticism alone provide a much needed dimension in our center back pairing.  Mourinho will have a dilemma on his hands after the international break, when Hard Boiled Egg John Terry will once again be available for selection.
