Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace, Premier League: Post-match reaction

Blah.  Just what is it about Alan Pardew?

And so, in his 100th Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho loses just for the second time.  I guess he'll get to go out and celebrate with a nice meal tonight, after all.

Plenty of possession for Chelsea, not quite enough threat.  And just when it looked like we would grab a lead — Palace even had to clear off the line — the visitors grabbed a lucky opener.  And just when it looked like Falcao would propel us to a rescue, Palace scored again with most of our defense just watching on.  Well timed on their part, quite poorly timed on ours.

Mourinho rang the changes, including a debut for Kenedy and minutes for Loftus-Cheek (and a goal for Falcao!), everybody pushed forward and we tried to will an equalizer but it wasn't meant to be.  Palace blocked what seemed like a half dozen shots in the final few minutes.

Two weeks to regroup and retool and restart the season.

(Remember to be nice to each other, by the way.  This is a bad result, don't make it worse.)
