Officially official: Marko Marin heads out on loan again

One time Chelsea preseason hero Marko Marin is still under contract with the Blues, but as he has in each of the past several seasons, will spend the 2015/16 campaign on loan. This time, the former German international will be playing for Trabzonspor, in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Marin has struggled to make an impact at any of his previous loan stops, despite showing early promise at some. There's little surprise, then, that the Blues have found it difficult to find the mini-midfielder a long term home, though this agreement, like many others, includes an option for Trabzonspor to make the deal permanent at the end of this season.

With any luck, Marin will have a great season on loan, and Chelsea will recoup a bit of their transfer fee when the Turkish side exercise their €4m option to buy at the end of the season. We'll always have that winner against the Seattle Sounders to remember him by...
