Not too many CHelsea players stood out during the 3-1 3-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend, but new signing Asmir Begovic had an excellent performance in the loss. His performance was so good, in fact, that many in the media were expecting him to stat again this coming weekend, despite Thibaut Courtois being available after serving his one-match suspension. According to manager Jose Mourinho, however, it will be Courtois in goal this weekend:
Mourinho confirms Courtois back in goal. "I'm happy with Begovic, shows what we have, but we go back to Courtois."

Frankly, this probably shouldn't be a big surprise, as Courtois is one of the best in the world, and hasn't done anything to warrant being dropped to the bench. That said, it's pleasing to see that Begovic's first performance with his new club has prompted that sort of speculation, as a quality backup goalkeeper is a luxury that we haven't always had.
