Diego Costa's hamstring bothered him throughout his triumphant debut season at Chelsea, but everyone was hoping that a summer off would see him get back to full health. Those hopes look to have been in vain -- the striker limped off in the second half of our friendly against Barcelona and Jose Mourinho confirmed after the match that he 'felt a thing' in his hamstring:
Jose: 'Cahill has a chance of a broken nose, maybe yes, maybe no. Diego felt a thing in his hamstring, but we have to wait.' #CFCTour

That's probably not the end of the world. I'd imagine that Costa's withdrawal was more precautionary than anything else -- although we'll obviously have to wait and see -- but it does rather put a damper on any thoughts that we'd get a fitter, stronger version of the hitman this season. It's seems much more likely that we end up wrapping him in cotton wool for a full season again.
As for Cahill's broken nose, let's be honest: we're all hoping he plays in a mask next time out. All hail Zary!
