Kenneth Omeruo was supposed to be in Istanbul today to have a medical and complete a loan move to Turkish top division side Kasimpasa. Often, such rumors prove to be untrue. That's not the case this time.
A new challenge, indeed. After back-to-back 18-month loans to ADO Den Haag and Middlesbrough, Omeruo looks to restart his career in a completely new environment.

At times since his arrival in January of 2012, the center back (and occasional right back) had looked ready to break into the Chelsea reckoning -- most notably after the Confederations Cup in 2013. A dislocated shoulder and a questionable decision to not repair it right away eventually scuppered that chance. His time at Boro started very well, but he had lost his place halfway through last season and his performances for the Nigeria national football team post-World Cup weren't quite up to his previous standard either.
Kasimpasa do have an option to buy him next summer.
