Most of us here know how unreliable the Daily Mirror can be, most of the time. Coupled with the Daily Express picking up Mirror's story, this all might be asking for trouble. But if reports from the Mirror are to be believed, Chelsea are set to block Loïc Rémy's sale, despite seemingly allowing him an exit by setting his price at £15 million.

Rumors had Rémy linked with a move to Crystal Palace, Swansea or West Ham in search of first-team minutes as a striker. The rumors only intensified as the Falcao story picked up pace. So what's the reason behind it the change of heart? Surprisingly, it's also Radamel Falcao.

It is believed Chelsea want the insurance of knowing they have an experienced, proven back-up while Falcao [...] adapts to life at Stamford Bridge.

As much as the Costa-Rémy-Falcao trio sounds exciting, this plan sounds too good to be true, especially if Rémy has indeed made first-team football a priority. Diego Costa has a couple known injury problems but they aren't enough to take him out of Mourinho's preferred starting line-up. With Falcao joining and Mourinho reportedly wanting to "get him back on his level", it's hard to envision too many obvious opportunities for Rémy. and thus envision the player spending more minutes on Chelsea's bench willingly.
