Andreas Christensen will be joining Eden Hazard's brother and former Blue Thorgan to play for Borussia Monchengladbach ahead of their Champions League campaign. Before he made the move, Christensen asked Eden Hazard whether or not it was a good idea.
I asked Eden Hazard whether his brother was happy at Gladbach. He said 'yes.'
Christensen also spoke about the prospect of playing under head coach Lucien Favre and how going to Germany will help his development.
Under [Lucien] Favre, I should reach the next level. He is a top coach and was another reason for my transfer. And in contrast to the Premier League they also rely on young players here and let then play earlier. I will gain some maturity with Gladbach for Chelsea -- that's the plan.

Putting the advice from the Brothers Hazard to one side, the hope of playing time is really what would have lured Christensen to Gladbach. That's what he needs most at this stage of his career, and so he's prioritising the chance to get on the pitch. Hopefully we will see him making enough waves in the Bundesliga to justify a place with Chelsea's first-team soon.
