Depending on just how much you trust the constant noise coming out of Gianluca Di Marzio's transfer rumor factory, this could be the start of something very exciting.
In Italy, both Juventus and Roma are after [Baba Rahman] but Chelsea is trying to anticipate both of them, the Blues are taking concrete steps to sign him.

No specific detail is provided what these concrete steps may be, but presumably they do not involve any water or sand or clay. What they probably do involve is piles of cash; £15m is what had been rumored before. Which would be a very good price to pay for one of the Bundesliga's most promising players, who's just finished his breakout season at surprise package FC Augsburg. We may not need reinforcement at left back at the moment, but Filipe Luis's situation continues to be not quite settled, and he may yet leave after just 12 months at the Bridge.
Up to this point, Chelsea's interest in the young left back -- he turns 21 in about a week -- has been tenuous, at best. Now, it's become slightly less tenuous, though still hardly ... concrete.
