It sounds as if it's only a matter of time until Chelsea announces the acquisition of Radamel Falcao. According to Duncan Castles, who has become one of the more reliable journos out there since the return of Jose Mourinho, the Blues have agreed to terms with AS Monaco, meaning a deal is probably very close to being announced:

Without knowing what those terms are, it's just impossible to come to any sort of conclusion about whether or not this deal will work for Chelsea. The rumors over the past several weeks have indicated it's simply a season-long loan with an option to make it permanent, however, and I'd probably have a hard time finding too much to complain about if that is the case.
Love it or hate it, Castles' suggestion that a deal is done probably means that you should get used to the idea.
