Chelsea prodigy knows that 'he hasn't made it yet'

Ruben Loftus-Cheek had an excellent season with Chelsea, earning praise from Jose Mourinho, as well as becoming a fixture on the Blues' bench (with a few starts as well) by the end of the season. That excellent work has earned the youngster his first callup with England's U21 side, ahead of the European championship which kicks off in under a week.

Loftus-Cheek had been one of the key players in the U19 side that didn't qualify for Europe, but is excited for his first opportunity to represent the three lions in the Czech Republic. England's tournament kicks off on June 18, when they take on Portugal. They'll then face Sweden on June 21, before concluding the group stage with a match against Italy on June 24. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, with four spots in the 2016 Olympic games being awarded at the tournament.
