It's been an entertaining, if perhaps annoyingly so on the day we're supposed to confirm our Premier League crown, 45 minutes in the sunshine at Stamford Bridge. Plenty of chances at both ends. And Hazard even missed a penalty kick (his first ever in the Premier League after going 9/9), but then managed to head in the rebound to put Chelsea up 1-0.
Chelsea started brightly, clearly inspired by the occasion, and could've grabbed the lead from the opening move but Drogba just missed the header with Speroni in no-man's land. Speroni also managed to almost gift a goal to Matic on a free-kick. But he's also made a couple decent saves, including on a Drogba knuckler from the edge of the area.
We have shown plenty of purpose and often pace so far. Willian has looked central to all good things Chelsea, including on the 1-2 with Hazard that resulted in the penalty. Cuadrado has looked lively as well, but we still have a terrible habit of passing behind him as if we're not fully aware of his pace and movement.
Palace are certainly dangerous and Zaha has already gotten Ivanovic booked. Terry's also on a yellow. There will be more goals. Hopefully for the boys in Blue.
45 minutes to the title! Let's go!
