Heads up, everybody! We've got common sense incoming. Common sense; what is this sorcery!?

This is a bit how Chris Brunt must have felt when the ball landed squarely on the back of his back. Surprise! Or perhaps how Cesc Fabregas must have felt when referee Mike Jones brandished a red card for "violent" conduct (which carries an automatic three-match suspension). Surprise!
Nice to see cooler, more reasonable heads prevailing than the immediate reaction to Cesc's silliness, which took much inspiration from Sir Alex Ferguson's "he could've killed him!" quip back from a few years ago.
So Cesc will only miss this weekend's Premier League finale, a match that will only serve as a chance to say goodbye to Petr Cech (and maybe Didier Drogba, again) and see a few more youngsters get some playing time. Fabregas will be back for the Community Shield and, most importantly, next season's opening match.
