Zouma, Oscar and Ramires all done for the season after injuries

'Out for the season' has rarely carried such relaxing connotations. Chelsea are champions. Slightly battered champions, admittedly, but champions nevertheless. And so when Jose Mourinho says that Oscar, Ramires and Kurt Zouma will play no part in the final two matches of the Premier League season, it's not nearly as big a deal as it might have been if we were in a title chase. Nobody wants players to be injured, of course, but there's a carnival atmosphere around the club, and we can imagine that trio smiling in the crowd like Diego Costa rather than stressing over being absent from the squad.

There's more positive news as well. Costa is in contention to make the team on Monday (although Izzy Brown is likely to start), and Petr Cech, who missed the Liverpool match with a minor injury, might be able to return for the final game of the season against Sunderland. Despite the manager suggesting that he has a chance of sticking around next season, I'd like him to get a chance to say goodbye if not.
