Mourinho promises to pick even more young players against West Brom

Jose Mourinho handed a Premier League start to 19-year-old Ruben Loftus-Cheek on Sunday.  Loftus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since before the age 8, and so it was a fantastic moment and a well deserved one.  RLC has oodles of talent; that he is the product of our own academy makes it even more important that we nurture said talent into a long and successful career.  At Chelsea, preferably.

Ruben got 60 minutes of action and did well enough to warrant more.  There are of course other youngsters waiting in the wings, too, but with two (mostly meaningless) games remaining for Chelsea, there should be plenty of time and opportunity for everyone.

Next up is West Bromwich Albion away.

Mourinho kept his promise regarding RLC on Sunday; we should expect him to do the same next Monday.  Hurray!

Incidentally, Brown's debut could come against his old club.

So that should be fun either way.
