Chelsea's Mohamed Salah has been on fire since joining Fiorentina on loan, and his success has Viola fans clomoring for the club to make his addition permanent. Manager Vincenzo Montella doesn't know if that will ever happen, but is sure that Salah will be back for a second season with the club:
"Salah deserves all the credit for this great impact on Serie A. I don’t know the details of how we can buy him permanently, but I do know there’s another year on loan and then we’ll see."
"The club has to ultimately evaluate the financial issues, but the important thing is that he’s going to be here with us next year. I knew his quality, but admittedly I did not expect Salah to adapt so quickly to Serie A. He has scored important and decisive goals against big clubs."
Salah's loan was set up to last until the end of the 2014/15 season, with Fiorentina having the right to extend that loan should they choose to do so. Given the way he's adapted to Serie A, there's very little reason to believe they won't do just that.
Where the Egyptian ends up at the end of the 2015/16 season is something we'll all likely have to wait to find out, but for now, it's probably enough to know that he'll be returning to Fiorentina next season.
