Outside of a rare Stoke City counterattack and a few silly giveaways (mostly by a somewhat off-key Nemanja Matic), it's been all Chelsea. But Stoke have walled off their goal and their penalty area pretty well, and our final ball has lacked the quality to beat it with any consistency. We did draw two saves -- one very good, one more routine -- from Begovic via deflected efforts from Remy and Hazard.
That's not to say we're playing badly. Pretty good, in fact. As usual, Hazard's at the center of everything good and promising from Chelsea. Azpilicueta has been venturing forward in support frequently as well. The front four, plus Fabregas have been, at times, their fluid best. It was one of those times that led to Philipp Wollscheid wiping out Fabregas in the penalty area. Believe it or not, referee Moss had no choice but to point to the penalty spot! Eden Hazard of course scored with one of those hilariously awesome Eden Hazard no-look penalty kicks.
Less hilariously awesome, more like annoyingly awesome was Charlie Adam's 60-yard equalizer. What.
1-1 it is. Work to do.
