Jose Mourinho gave Chelsea fans some hope that Diego Costa might be fit for Sunday's top of the table clash with Arsenal, but it looks as if the striker won't be fit in time to face the Gunners. Costa has been struggling with a hamstring injury all season, but hasn't been fit to lay for the last several weeks after being forced off just minutes into his last appearance.
Mourinho has also confirmed that Costa's backup, Loic Remy, won't be fit for Sunday's match. That likely means we'll be seeing a third straight start for the healthy Didier Drogba, with academy product Dominic Solanke on the bench at The Emirates.
Personally, I'm fine with taking things very slowly with Costa, as he's been dealing with this injury for quite a while now. With the title all but locked up at this point and a very easy schedule following the Arsenal match, I'd rather just let him rest and heal, and then unleash him again next season after he's had some time to strengthen his hamstrings. With any luck, we'll win on Sunday and Mourinho will do just that.
