Chelsea heading to Australia in June, according to reports

According to reports in Australia, Chelsea will be joining the extensive list of European clubs making a trip down under this summer. They'll reportedly be taking on Sydney FC on June 2, at the 83,000 seat ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

That date is interesting, as it means this is the second time in recent memory that the Blues will be taking a tour immediately after they complete their season. The Sydney Morning Herald is also suggesting that this won't be a weakened squad, but that it will be close to full strength before most of the group heads off to international duty.

If accurate, I'd assume the Blues will be bringing in a substantial appearance fee, and could well be looking at a second match on that side of the globe. The SMH are pretty clear that the Sydney match will be the club's only stop in Australia, but a stop in Japan would seem to make some sense as well.
