Chelsea to tour United States this summer

Curious about Chelsea's preseason plans? Well some of that can be sated right now: the Blues are coming to the United States to participate in the International Champions Cup. This means a number of pretty interesting-looking friendlies -- there are quite a few other world powerhouses taking part in the tournament as well:

Chelsea
Barcelona
Club America
Fiorentina
LA Galaxy
Manchester United
New York Red Bulls
Paris Saint-Germain
Porto
San Jose Earthquakes

We don't know the schedule yet, because everyone's apparently as determined to drag this out for as long as humanly possible, but the last time we spent summer in the States we played three Champions Cup games plus a friendly against Roma. It's probably worth noting that touring the USA didn't prevent the Blues from wandering around Asia a little earlier, and with no significant international tournament this summer we may well do more than one tour.

Anyway, good news for America Blues fans. We'll be getting a list of cities on the 28th.
