The good times continue in the Chelsea Academy, this time with continental triumph, as Adi Viveash's charges defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 Monday afternoon in Switzerland to win the second edition of the UEFA Youth League.
Here are the Chelsea goals (via @chelseayouth):
Two strikes from captain Izzy Brown sandwiched Dominic Solanke's 34th goal of the season -- tying Tammy Abraham for the club lead -- and staked Chelsea to a 3-1 advantage after the first half ended all even 1-1. A late Shakhtar goal in stoppage times made things interesting for a moment, but Chelsea held on for the win and got to celebrate with a lovely trophy.
Champions of Europe, we know what they are!
