Eden Hazard, freshly signed to a new Chelsea contract, seems likely to win PFA Player of the Year, and seems likely (touch wood, throw salt, fondle badger) to add to his medal collection with a Premier League win as well. It's been a good year for the Belgian, in other words, who's well and truly delivering on his potential after signing from Lille in 2012.
But that doesn't mean he's done trying to improve, either.
I have to raise my level. I am gaining experience. It's a big match every weekend, and each season I find new qualities. This season I score headers. Who would have thought it? I am progressing. I'm happy with my season, like I was with last season. I am continuing my apprenticeship.
People expect Eden to score 30 to 40 goals a season. I don't think about doing it. I'm not like that. If there is a point in my game where I still need to work, it is of course, to be more efficient -- to play even more for myself, to score goals. But I am having a great season. Maybe I will have two trophies, and that will be great.

Presumably part of his planned improvement is to score more headers in future (they're always a delight) and to begin talking about himself in third-person (similarly delightful). Putting my serious hat on, more goals in general would be nice -- it's about time that Hazard stops passing in the box when he has an open shot on and just goes for goal himself.
Overall, though? It's hard to complain. I mean, Hazard's no Shinji Kagawa, but he does alright.
