Mourinho addresses Diego Costa's injury, striker could miss Stoke City match

Performance aside, the only thing Chelsea fans really had to be concerned with following the Blues' win over Hull was the injury to striker Diego Costa. Jose Mourinho addressed the injury following the match, and doesn't seem too concerned that it will hurt Chelsea's title chances:

"If he cannot play in the next game against Stoke in 15 days, we have Remy, we have Didier Drogba. We know his hamstring is not a strong one. He works hard in the week to compensate for the weakness he has there but the injury can come."

"He tried to play the Champions League final for Atletico Madrid and was injured again and again and again. He has this fragility."

Chelsea have done a relatively nice job managing Costa's injuries this season, with the only significant stretch of games the Spaniard has missed coming on the heels of an international break. With that in mind, I'd be very surprised to see Costa playing for Spain over the next few weeks, before stepping back in against Stoke when the Premier League resumes in two weeks.

Sorry, VdB.
