England's U19 side will play a trio of qualifiers for July's European Championship over the next two weeks, including fixtures against Denmark, Azerbaijan, and France. Manager Sean O'Driscoll has selected four Chelsea players in that squad, including a pair who have been on the fringes of the first team this season.
The four Blues include defender Joshua Aina, Midfielders Charlie Colkett and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and forward Izzy Brown. The full England squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Angus Gunn (Manchester City), Freddie Woodman (Newcastle United)
Defenders: Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Ashley Smith-Brown (Manchester City), Joshua Aina (Chelsea), Brendan Galloway (Everton), Joe Gomez (Charlton Athletic), Kean Bryan (Manchester City)
Midfielders: Teddy Bishop (Ipswich Town), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Charlie Colkett (Chelsea), Harry Winks (Tottenham Hotspur), Lewis Cook (Leeds United)
Forwards: Brandon Barker (Manchester City), Demarai Gray (Birmingham City), Patrick Roberts (Fulham), Bradley Fewster (Middlesbrough), Izzy Brown (Chelsea)
While both Brown and Loftus-Cheek could find themselves in the first team squad later in the season, they're both unlikely to take part in either of the matches book-ending the international break. In that sense, the extra fixture they'll be playing with England is unlikely to have much of an effect with Chelsea.
