We're starting to see the rumor mill begin churning out stories about summer Chelsea transfers, and on Monday, DiMarzio had an interesting tidbit about the Blues' interest in a Brazilian starlet. Kenedy has been making quite a name for himself since breaking into the Fluminense first team, and the website had the following to say about Chelsea's interest*:
*Any odd phrasing can probably be chalked up to Google Translate
"In the Under 20 World Cup we saw a new start in Kenedy, half of Europe is following him. As of today I can say Juve is interested but Fluminese asked for a lot: €12/13 million. There was a contact with Chelsea, through Deco, now his agent, it was a timid approach, not a formal offer."
I'm not sure exactly what a timid approach is, but it's interesting to see that the Blues have been in contact. It's also interesting to see that Deco is now an agent, and representing players from the club Chelsea allowed him to finish his career with.
I suppose Fluminense now moves back up to the top of the watch list, for Chelsea fans with interest in potential transfer targets.
