Chelsea loanee Tomas Kalas returns to full fitness as Middlesbrough push for promotion

Just when it looked like Tomas Kalas was ready to put the frustrations of the first half of the season behind him with an impressive debut and first couple games for Middlesbrough in early January, he picked up an ankle injury that left him sidelined for the rest of the month.  Just another false start in a season from hell for the young Czech center-back and sometimes right-back.

But now he's back and ready to go!  Again.

Aitor Karanka's squad will be bolstered by the return of Tomas Kalas this weekend when Boro take on Charlton Athletic at the Riverside.

Kalas is one of three Chelsea loanees currently plying their trade for Boro, who sit third in the Championship but just a point behind the leaders.  Both Kenneth Omeruo and Patrick Bamford have spoken recently of just how badly they want to help win promotion to the Premier League -- and Bamford, specifically, has hinted that he would be ok staying on for another year should that happen -- and Kalas, too, will no doubt soon buy into that mentality fostered by Mini-Mourinho on the Teesside.

Good luck to all of them.
