Player Ratings: Some Eden Hazard football-magic did crop up amid all the bad refereeing

We know that Atkinson was a big fat zero, but here's how you rated the Chelsea players.

Eden Hazard picked up his 8th assist of the season, moving him level for second most on the team with Oscar.  He's also our second leading scorer with 13 goals.  Lately, it also seems like he's the only one who's consistently bringing the goods.  Day in, day out, pushing the team forward, tracking back, winning free kicks, creating goals, scoring goals, destroying defenses.  The kid's doing it all, even if this was just his first Man of the Match since New Year's Day (and 9th overall).

Now we just need to go back to giving him some help like we were doing earlier this season.

2. THIBAUT COURTOIS - GK 7.9

Another strong game from Courtois; just one shaky moment comes to mind on a corner when he (and everybody else) had assumed that Diego Costa would clear it, but still reacted well to scramble the ball away from goal.  The Chelsea goalkeeper was quite possibly the only Chelsea player to not be beaten by Ashley Barnes's kicks, and he even did a Manuel Neuer when he cleared the ball with his head.

Courtois provided a nicely measured post-match response as well, in contrast to some of the more heated reactions.  Now that we know where Matić's boiling point is, maybe one day we'll find out where Thibaut's may be, too.

3. BRANISLAV IVANOVIĆ - DR 7.8

I'm not sure what Ivanović has been having for breakfast lately, but he seems to have switched up his steady diet of puppies and tears for a more protein-, fiber-, and most crucially, goal-filled one.

A few misplaced easy passes (not that he was alone in that regard) and one hilariously wayward cross aside, Ivanović continued his hot (attacking) form, scoring what at the time looked like would the goal to set Chelsea on their way to an easy, and dominant win.  Oh well.

At some point we should give a shoutout to Kurt Zouma's 19 clearances, so we might as well do it here.

OTHERS:
Filipe Luís (7.5), Terry* (7.1), Zouma (7.4), Fàbregas (5.7), Matić (6.3), Oscar (5.9), Cuadrado (6.4), Costa (6.1)

SUBS:
Willian (6.3), Ramires (6.0), Drogba (5.8)

* JT was accidentally left off the voting spreadsheet, so he's been assigned his season average.
