Following this morning's strongly worded statement that left no doubt (if there was any) where Chelsea stand on this issue, the club suspended two more fans who now will face banning orders should evidence show their involvement in the racist abuse on the Paris Metro ahead of Tuesday night's game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea Football Club has suspended a further two people from Stamford Bridge as a result of ongoing investigations into the incident on the Paris Metro on Tuesday evening. This makes a total of five to date.
If it is deemed there is sufficient evidence of their involvement in the incident, the club will issue banning orders for life.
We are grateful to the many Chelsea supporters and others who have provided information and we request any further details are sent to customer.services@chelseafc.com

As disheartening as it was to see Chelsea fans involved in such abhorrent actions, undermining all the good things that the club does in promoting equality and fighting discrimination -- such as this weekend's Game for Equality or the latest fundraising event for Right To Play -- the swift and decisive reaction from the club (and all other fans), while still respecting due process, has been great.
