Chelsea promise 'strongest possible action' against racist fans shown in Paris Métro video

It's a shocking video of verbal and physical abuse directed towards a black man on the Paris Metro by a mob of proudly racist fans also singing about Chelsea, presumably on their way to see the Blues play against Paris Saint-Germain Tuesday night.  A public display of infuriating ignorance and truly horrific social values, and one that stains the name Chelsea Football Club, the organization and all the supporters, with shame and disgrace purely by association.

Perhaps giving hope of a better future for us as a species, the video has been met with universal condemnation.  Chelsea FC have reacted quickly as well, releasing the following statement:

Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders.

Thank you for doing the right thing and making the only appropriate response, Chelsea.
