Less-than-fun news on the injury front -- Cesc Fabregas has recovered from the injury that's been keeping him out since the Capital One Cup semifinal ... but now he's sick. Right ahead of our first big Champions League match of the year, too. And that's from Jose Mourinho himself:

Oscar has a problem, Fabregas was ill, Willian still has a little feeling from the Liverpool game, but everybody wanted to try and I would say that only Mikel is completely out.

We are a different team with Fabregas, I’m not saying better or worse, I’m saying different. The team grew up from pre-season with him on the team and the team went in a certain direction with a style of play.

Being without that attack-minded trio would be a significant blow, but hopefully they're slight problems rather than what-on-earth-will-out-lineup-look-like problems. But no matter how many injury concerns Mourinho has with his team right now, it's nothing compared to what Laurent Blanc has to deal with. Silver linings, right?
