The football world was in shock yesterday after Jose Mourinho escaped an FA sanction following a vicious attack on Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur. McArthur, in action against relegation-threatened Leicester, went to ground near the managers' technical areas, and ended up in a tangle with Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson, who briefly put his hands around the 27-year-old's neck.
The good news for Chelsea fans is that Jose Mourinho will not be suspended (nor will anyone else) for this flagrant act of violent conduct. How Mourinho has escaped a charge from the FA on this matter is currently unclear, as he was clearly guilty of aiding and abetting Pearson in his assault via the use of powerful mind-rays from afar. The Blues can consider themselves lucky that no action has been taken after this heinous crime.

In other news, Diego Costa is reportedly relieved that his three-game ban, of which two matches have been served, was not increased following an incident on Sunday which saw Robin van Persie break James Tomkin's nose with a flailing elbow.
