A few days ago at We Ain't Got No History, we featured "Anatomy of a rumor: Papy Djilobodji's well-traveled link with Lazio", an article digging deep into the sources of a rumour linking our least-seen Chelsea player to a Serie A move in the next transfer window. Compelled to defend his client in front of seemingly baseless hearsay, Papy Djilobodji's agent Mouhamed Gueye came to public to deny any rumours linking Papy to a move away from Stamford Bridge, claiming the player still 'has a lot to offer':
"Papy will fight to play. He has a lot to offer. I do not know anything about a possible transfer of Papy to Lazio in January. From Rome right now I have not received any demonstration of interest to my client, let alone a phone call."

The elusive and rare Djilobodji's most recent sighting was as an unused sub at our Tottenham game less than a week ago, which we drew 0-0. Still, with Chelsea out of the Capital One Cup and without long-term injuries to key players, it's hard to envision Djilobodji ever seeing the pitch again with the Blues in the future.
